January is almost over

I can't believe that it's been almost a month already since I decided to start this crazy project!  Although I'm not perfect at it, I feel great about the progress I did make this month.  :)  I'm glad I was able to get the shot I did get and I will look back in a few years and truly appreciate this time with my camera and my family.  I think I'm going to make a big book out of these when I'm done at the end of the year!  What a great coffee table piece!!

January 11, 2013 - Wii U time...video game time in general is all :) in this house!

January 13, 2013 - It was a toast 73 degrees today so the block came out to play!  This is Lexi enjoying a Popsicle - YUM!
January 13, 2013 - Natalie came out to play :) She's the littlest on the block...for now ;)

January 17, 2013 - Mommy is getting bigger - this is taken @ 33 weeks...not too bad, yet! ;)

January 18, 2013 - Truman is enjoying the sunshine after week of rain!  Such a beautiful boy <3
January 19, 2013 - I took Princess out for a practice shoot with the new equipment.  She is a such a super-model!
January 20, 2013 - Liam is an amazing little boy that came to me for a photo shoot and custom card design in order to thank some folks that were donating money to his cause - he is raising funds to be able to bring home a service dog to help with his autism!  Such a wonderful story and family!!  Check them out here: http://sigmonsix.wordpress.com/service-dog-for-liam
January 21, 2013 - Baby Bub had to get his plagiocephaly helmet today.  Still the cutest little nephew I know ;)
January 22, 2013 - Princess and BFF Hallie went to see "the Bieb's" tonight!  It was a great experience and they both loved it!  Just glad this mom won't be returning to another concert again for a few years ;)

January 25, 2013 - A winter storm hit the area, causing a coating of ice to take over the town.  It was a nice weekend to hunker down in the house and stay warm - although the ice really only lasted for about 12 hours!  It was ccccCOLD!

In the Beginning....

... A photographer/Mom-tographer decided she would try to take on a "Project 365" of sorts.  A project that didn't shamefully shake it's head when a day was missed or punish the photographer for not getting that perfect....

And so it begins.

I started an endeavor like this one last year and got about 15 days in.  I love looking back at those 15 days in January and wish that I would have continued!  It's so amazing to watch the changes in our lives and this is a wonderful way to accomplish that.  However, I got discouraged when I started to miss a few days or didn't have an epiphany on a certain day for a beautiful shot, so I stopped.  I just flat out stopped.  This time, I'm taking a different approach...  I know I'm going to miss some days.  I know I'm going to mess up.  But having what I will have at the end of the year is going to be an incredible journey and a huge growth for me in my photography.  I think that later on in the year, I will work on specific things that I want to improve on - but for now, I just want to capture my family and life as they are.  Things are going to get very tricky in March when a new addition arrives.  Not only will it be a new victim, er, I mean subject ;) but a huge opportunity to watch my baby grow over the next year.  However, with a new family member comes the crazy, hectic and usually overwhelming first year that can consume a life!  I'm hoping this little project will keep me from missing the big milestones and help me remember to catch the little ones :)  Fingers crossed!!

Ok, enough blabbing....  On to the photos!
